You know…

Do you ever have one of those moments where you question if we’ve managed to make any progress at all?

I just ran across a (fairly old) article announcing the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops condemning Reiki as unscientific and un-Christian and anybody wanting to get into heaven should “shun” the practice.

Sigh.

You know, in some ways I actually get it.  A good shepherd is going to be vigilant in guarding his sheep, but I get stuck at the judging the heart and intention of others part.  I *hate* that whole thing of some churches where they have a sign on the front door with a list of the people that are allowed in.

It’s so bizarre to me; Jesus never hated the sinner but was capable of kickin’ some major butt when it came to the Sin (smile).
